Cry Separation anxiety... what to do!

Here's the story so far...

I just moved out my parent's place where I had a wonderful Bichon Frisé, and thought I couldn't live without a dog, so I bought a Yorkie 2 1/2 months ago. My baby is a wonderful boy! Never barks, listens pretty well, gets along with humans and other dogs, he's just amazing for his young age. BUT! He suffers from separation anxiety! He can't stay alone for 5 minutes without starting to bark and cry like hell and non-stop!

I've read a lot on that desease, and can't figure out why he's acting like that, except that he's maybe too attached to us... I've tried ignoring him for a couple of minutes before leaving, also ignoring him when I come back until he gets calm, I've tried using the crate or not, nothing will do... He has toys to play with, I also got him a Kong toy. I've left the TV on also. First day I left him alone my neighbours wanted to call the police...!!

My temporary solution is to bring him to my parent's place, since there's always somebody home and also another dog.

Anybody has similar stories? What did you do? I want my baby back home...
