I just boil boneless chicken breasts and remove any fat and skin. White meat, skinless chicken is lower in fat and better for dogs. You can make a bunch at one time and freeze smaller portions and defrost them as you need them. I just shred it with my hands when I give it to them.

The only real difference I see is that the puppy might need a little more protein than the adult formula has. I also feed Nutro Ultra Natural products.
