RoxyJo had the same allergic reaction with her second set of shots. We took her back to the vet who gave her a shot of Dexamethasone to counteract it and she had a reaction to that shot, as well. They kept her for a couple hours until they were sure she was ok, then sent her home and told us to give her a little benedryl. We did and she slept most of the rest of the day. They gave her a shot of the Dexamethasone before they gave her the last set of shots and she was fine. No problems since. This vet told us that she went to a seminar on just this sort of thing and only Dachunds have been known to have the allergic reactions to baby shots, and she had no idea why a Yorkie would react, but, oh well, we'll just giver her something and charge a whole lot more for the visit. This is another reason we are looking for another vet in our area.
