In my experience, being potty trained in one house does not automatically mean they're potty trained in another.... Pixie is about 99% trained in my house, but if we go to a friend's house, she goes wherever she pleases and doesn't give a second thought to it!
Teaching your dog a command to "Go Potty" or something similar will help. That way if you're not at home you can put him where you want him to go and tell him to go there... I never taught Pixie a potty command and am regretting it. I think I'll start trying to though, it would be nice for when we're visiting. |
