I have the same problem as you do.
I even opened a thread about it some time ago, lol
My yorkie is 6 month old and he hate to be held...and he is cute only while sleeping.
I really hope it will change, but i am not sure.
I think it's a personality...some dogs are lap dogs some aren't.
I am very very pissed about it, but there is nothing i can do
