I am so sorry for your loss. It is very difficult to deal with and not go over and over the "what lf's" A very good friend of mine shot himself 4 years ago.
Since we were close friends his family had lots of questions for me. I knew he was depressed but he had been making plans for the future. Depression is a serious illness that takes so many lives. I tell the daughter of my late friend to tell people that her father died from an illness, depression. It so hard not to feel abandoned and later comes anger. We wish that we knew he had stopped taking his medication. He simply said to me, Cyn don't call me on Tuesday because you won't be able to get a hold of me. He shot himself that day. |
