I also use saline. First thing in the morning and at bedtime before Mocha sleeps, I wipe his eyes and get the eye boogers out (sorry, don't know what else to call it). I have a Chris Christiansen fine comb (similar to a flea comb) to comb the hair that is directly underneath the eyes. This seems to help with the gunk from accumulating. I also used to have my groomer cut the hair at the corner of Mocha's eyes. But I've stopped doing it and let it grow out. That has seemed to help stop the tearing. He doesn't seem to have any tear stains at all. |
