It depends on the puppy. If the puppy is eating well and is weaned off mama then I say it should be okay. I brought both of mine home at 8 weeks. The only thing is that at that age they are more likely to have a hypoglocemic attack. If you bring a puppy home that early, you need to be able to be at home with it 24/7 for at least 2 weeks to make sure that it doesn't have any hypoglocemic attacks. At 12 weeks they are less likey to experience these things.
