Default Chewing

My two yorkies are a little over a year old (14 months). When they were really young, they used to chew on things such as flip flops, corners of walls, corners of the coffee table, etc. They grew out of that phase but just within the past month they've gone back to chewing!

I have given them different types of chew toys to occupy them but if I leave them out of their crate while I'm out, I'll come home and find something chewed up. It's always something different - mail, a bluetooth earpiece to my boyfriend's phone, some wooden puzzle. The crazy part is that they get it all off of the coffee table! We make it a point not to leave anything at their level but I don't want to have to clear EVERYTHING out of the room!

Any suggestions on what I could do for my pups to keep them from chewing my stuff?!
