Is it really better to have it done before the first heat, or does it really matter. I'm not worried about her getting pregnant, I will make sure that doesn't happen. From what I've researched, it has mostly been a tie. Half said it should be done before the first heat the other half said it didn't really matter. I just want to do what is better for Izzie. Her mother didn't have her first heat until she was 17 months old and she weighed before her litter 5 lbs 14 ozs. and now she is a constant 6 lbs 2 ozs.
