I think it depends on the bigger dog. (How old, how calm, etc...) Louie plays great with my aunt's two labs that are atleast 60lbs. I think they know to be gentle with him, but my best friend's corgi that is only 30 lbs just doesn't get it. He will pounce on Louie and chase him. It scares Louie's 2.5lbs. to death! I would say definitley supervise.
