As a former nanny, I realize that children can be destructive. If you were watching the child more closely, maybe she wouldn't of pulled the paper off. I don't mean to criticize, but sometimes you have to have a childproof environment. This sometimes means taking away things that they may break or destroy. I also had children misbehave. However, I never had the urge to hurt them. Maybe you should find a new profession.
