I buy the roll, then slice the entire thing in quarter-inch thick slices; I then put them in freezer bags and put whatever won't be consumed within a couple of days in the freezer. Slicing it thin like I do ensures that it thaws out quickly. I take out a new bag the day before I need it, to thaw in the fridge. It works out pretty well that way. |
Which brand do you buy? What size roll do you get? How long does it usually last? Thanks for explaining what you do to keep the meat fresh.
