I always tell myself the same thing. We've had house guest here for almost a month now and I had to put my foot down and tell every one to stop giving him scraps. It took a couple of days of getting him back on track. Or maybe he was just starving and had no choice but to eat his kibble! I kept my eyes on everyone to make sure they were not giving him anything. I let the kids help me feed him his breakfast and dinner. and had to have a talk with them on how he can get very sick if they kept feeding him. It's so funny because the little ones who are only 3 and 5 are so ready to rat out anyone one who gives him anything he shouldn't have.
