Yep, I do the plastic drawers for all our stuff too. (We have over ten pets....with all the different animals, the STUFF can overtake you if you don't get organized!)
I have all their grooming stuff in a plastic shoe box, and it's so easy to grab whereever I am, and rummage around for whatever I need (brush, comb, detangling products, claw clippers, etc....rubberbands for their hair...even their battery shaver...and of course, treats!
