I totally agree with you...I help my parents as much as I can - we painted their house for them and do odd jobs when they need us - but a contractor took total advanatage of them to do a simple extension of their den - My parents liked him - so he kept charging and charging - I finally found out what was going on and that jerk ended up not coming back and left some undone things - all because I questioned his work ethics....He claimed to like them and wanted to help them - yeah right !
People are NOT the same as they used to be. They're just not.
When My lawn mower broke a few years ago - I borrowed my neighbors - I mowed HER lawn twice.....cleaned her lawn mower... and brought her a small gift
When my neighbors (in this house) broke their lawn mower - I gave them mine - they mowed their OWN lawn only....broke it....tried to hide where they broke it ....and then had the nerve to ask me to borrow it again LOL |
