Hi there, I think it will depend more on the height of the dog than on the weignt... It is the small size, anyway for such a good price you could easily use it for a while , I think is very comfy for the dog, but Luna has 1 extra inch on legs lenght LOL
Luna is almost 4 pounds, but a very square body, as tall as long... And she fits in it, is just that she likes to completely lie down...and that's when we miss that extra inch.
Anyway the carrier is just beautiful!
