You were so very fortunate that you did not lose her to that car! If you can't fence, please, please get a harness and a retractable leash. Oscar has a 15 foot retractable leash and he can run to his heart's content, but I can keep him safe at the same time. I think these Yorkies definitely have a mind of their own and won't listen half the time when we holler "stop!". A couple of seconds or an inch more, we could have been reading this under a different section of the forum. I am so glad it went this way for you guys and she is o.k. I know you aged a lot in that few seconds! I would have had a coronary!!! Use a leash...you will be glad you did!!!
