Have you tried a detangler yet on her ? - Johnsons No More Tangles for human babies works great - It's only about 5 $ in all stores that sell baby products.....You just saturate the knot and brush it out or work them out with your fingers. I used it on my girls and it works

and people are talking about Cowboy Magic Detangler as a good way to remove matts and knots....I actually just ordered some for the girls - when they were clothes I notice more tangles....
