My yorkie is 8 weeks old. I am planning on training classes and working on training at home. I don't want to make the mistakes I made with my last dog. I want a well behaved (as much as possible!) Yorkie! I am trying to start saying a few things to him now, such as Up! when I pick him up, good positive words when he goes pee or potty. I realize he is probably too young for much of anything else. I want to take him to classes also. I have read a few books on the subject, but they don't really give a starting age. What do you all recommend? By the way, the crate training at night seems to be working great! I am finally getting some sleep!
