Thanks for all the advice. Simba is completely trained and has had no accidents in any other parts of the house except on the carpet which was a couple of month ago (I realized that I didn't write that clearly enough in my first post..

). He isn't marking and I therefore don't want to use any belly bands since I don't mind if he goes on the pee pad if needed. Unfortunately, since it's fur, I can't use any of the simple solution nor other cleaner as it will ruin the rug. Hmmm...maybe using a gate to section off the living room is the only way. He is a little chicken

so I was hoping that some kind of vibrating device, similar to the one you use to keep the pooches off couches, would help. Oh well. Thanks anyways.
