I had a grooming client once who told me she bought electried mats to keep her Yorkies out of her living room/dining room..she put them in the doorway...but one of her Yorks would still run across the mat..she yelped as she went, but the pain was worth getting into the room she wanted...gates are about the only thing I have found that works..
