My hubby and sons are off on a road trip, so this morning it was just me, Bailey and Tia. Made some coffee and got the girls their breakfast. I went downstairs to get some laundry and hear this blood cuddling screams from upstairs. I ran up to see Bailey on top of Tia attacking her
. I pulled Bailey off and put her in her pen and picked up Tia. She cried for a few minutes and when I did a body check, she would cry out everytime I touched her head. Besides this, there was no blood, signs of cuts so I watched her for the next hour, got some nutrical into her. Of course it would be the day I'm alone and had a meeting I couldn't miss. I ensured the dogs were separated while I left and and hurried the meeting as best as I could. Tia was happy to see me, she had something to eat and drink and went back to sleep. When I penned Bailey up, she knew she had done something wrong. Shes come to sniff at Tia a couple of times and growled once (which got her time out again in the pen.) I'm really shaken up right now. We decided to get a 2nd dog of companionship for Bailey, now I'm afraid to ever leave them alone. And right now, I'm really mad at Bailey!!!! She has never been aggressive like this with another dog. What do I do now! I won't leave the 2 of them alone together, but will Tia ever want to be around Bailey again? She is such a tiny and timid dog, this is the last thing that should have happened to her!!! I hope that this hasn't turned her into a fearful pup!
