BIIIIIIIIIIIG SIGH! Thanks God she is home!
I know exactly how you feel and now I can tell you my story (I didn't want to do that before you found her bc I didn't want to make your pain look trivially.) Maybe it'll make you a little smile:
We owned a Hungarian Vizsla named Nelly when we lived downtown Munich, Germany. Nelly was a stray we got from the shelter and she not only loved to run away but also to get on public busses and street cars. So one day the Public Transportation Administration contacted us and suggested to buy her a year long ticket bc she never had any money on her to pay for the ticket. The story even made it into the newspapers. Sadly one day she didn't show up again and we never found out what happened to her.
