It's true! The standard size for a yorkie is 7 lbs and under, which is TINY! So technically, ALL yorkies are "teacups." Of course, there are LARGE yorkies, but these don't meet the standard. Please be very careful when shopping for a "teacup." Some people will sacrifice the health of the puppy just to get a really small "teacup" puppy that they can sell for an enormous amount of money. Just ask the breeders you talk to what size the parents of the puppy are...if you get 2 parents that meet the standard (7 lbs or under), then you will most likely have a "teacup," or smaller, yorkie.
