This first one has great instructions and illustrations!! Oh and in case you cut the quick by accident, have quik stop or baking soda on hand to stop the bleeding right away!

thank you, that first link is really a good one. I use to watch the vets assistant cut Kizzys nails and just hold her like under his arm like I did Kizzy which worked fine. I was only worried about cutting into the quick so I would only clip barely the tips but I do have the quik stop gel. The vet said it or the powder cauterizes the end to make it stop bleeding. Hope I never have to use it. but thanks again for that link.I did not cut Kizzys dew claws as I was scared of that. I never noticed if the vet asst did or not so I wasnt sure if they should be cut or not but now I'll know next time.
