She is an absolute doll!!! I purchased my second yorkie 3 weeks ago and the ears were the same way. I called my groomer and asked her to shave them for me and she did . The next day her ears were up half way and by the 3rd day they were fully up. Looking at the picture her ears have alot of hair on them. I think that's the problem. Don't know about the cottage cheese, but trimming worked for me and rather quickly.
