How old is he? You might want to add rice to the boiled chicken or beef. It is importatnt for him to eat now. I had Jill on that diet for about a month when she first arrived and then gradually weaned to dry kibbles.
About the Nutrical...you might try Karo syrup.
As far as the sleeping thing. Jill just hated being along in the expen in the Kitchen at night. So we brought her in the bedroom in a play pen small enough for her bed on one end and pee pads on the other. We ended up getting up several times during the night to let out. That got old after a few months and now she is in bed with us and sleeps through the night!
