I have been feeding Diamond Royal Canin Puppy 33 and she loves it. The breeder also fed this to her too so that could be why. I also heard that it's better to keep them on dry food if possible because it is better for their teeth. The wet food can affect their teeth in the long run.

I would just continue to give your pup the Royal Canin and stop giving the old food...wait 3-4 days and see if the stool improves. Diamond always had solid stools with Royal Canin and she has never had a problem.
