I know what you are saying and it comes from the heart!! I feel that way with each and every litter or puppy that I am lucky enough to live with for a while. When I think how you and I and others who breed love, protect and care for and about our babies, I could go and pinch the heads off those millers and their mean spiritedness. Dear Lord, please forgive me for hating someone or something so much.
When the time comes to place your babies, I hope that you can step back a little, and as you interview perspective mommies and/or daddies, find the home that is actually a little better than yours. Hold on, now! Let me 'splain. A better home might be one where the pup will be the only child. Or one where there has been a recent death of family member-either 2 or 4 legged. Your baby will help them heal and that will be a better home. Or with a disabled family member. Over the years, my puppies have had the chance to fulfill those needs.
I have developed a set of questions that I use over the phone before I set up the initial interview. I know when the person comes what I think of them and the interview is to solidify my judgement. BUT, each of your babies is meant to bring joy to someone and as hard as it is, breeders have to let that happen..
Bless you and your babies for being such a special part of this forum. Happy Mothers Day!!! |
