Give her a consequence for knocking over the can. Also, something I learned recently...Milo lost interest in his OWN toys, and was only interested in eating things like my designer shoes that I left out by accident! A trainer said to keep all of his toys locked up and only take out a couple at a time. This makes the toys more novel and the dog is more likely to play with them then. It totally worked for me (for the most part) I happen to include bottles in his toy drawer, they're cheap and replaceable - what can I say!
Mine also love playing with empty small plastic water bottles. I toss the caps away.
