I was told not to allow any anaesthetic other than Isofluorane and that oral anaesthetics or injected anaesthetics are not acceptable for yorkies as they are known to react badly to these other types. This is just what I have HEARD though... there are so many of us on here, surely not everyone's vet used Isofluorane. My vet did, and Oscar came through wonderfully - no reaction whatsoever. You should have a chance to speak to your vet before the surgery though and they should answer all of your questions. Are you having pre-op bloodwork done? Also a good idea...

Good luck with your baby tomorrow! (I brought one of my old sweaters that Oscar liked to sleep on so it had MY smell on it as well as his - also, they brought him out all wrapped up in it when I picked him up and he was all groggy - sooo cute).
