this happened to me also my baby did not have his collar on and i was crazy with fear because they are so small....i called our local police department and the animal shelter right away and gave them a descrition of max. 6 hours later i got a call from a gas station in our little town and ask if we were missing a dog. he was walking around the gas station and the attendent who was wise enough to call the police and ask if any dogs were called in missing. the police gave them our number and we ran down to pick him up. he was so tired, dirty and so scared but we found him. please call your local police and shelters...if I did'nt do that i think we would never have got him back. my prayers are with you. i know first hand how you feel.
