my baby did the same thing for awhile, i would put her food on the floor and she would eat, put it in her dish she would ignore it......then i put her food on a flat plate and she would eat....then eventually back into her bowl. i think it was just a phase and zoey was about 8-9 months old when she did this also. I really did'nt care where her food was as long as she ate. try the saucer or small snack plate. hope this helps
