I admire your sense of responsibility in keeping the dog eventhough I truley believe you would prefer not to. With agression issues you would probably have trouble finding a new home for him.

I feel bad that you are thinking of keeping him in the garage, I believe it would only make the agression issue worse.

Have you tried getting a professional to work with him. The Dog Whisperer believes that almost all dogs, other than those that are trained to fight, can be socialized.

I just would not feel right by putting him in the garage, I'd try to work out another arrangement like gating off a bedroom to keep him away from the baby, and getting him professional help.
