Make sure you pay the extra for the preop anesthesia blood work and this should show if she is going to have any problems with the anesthesia. Use a safe anesthesia for small dogs like isoflurane gas and do not give a preanesthesia barbituate. Make sure your vet has experience with small dogs. They are doing what they call pediatric spay and neuters now as early as 8 weeks old. Most want a female to be 3 months and at least 2 pounds though. Let us know when you decide to have the procedure done so we can all be praying for you.

Is she like barely 2 pounds or close to three?
