My only suggestion for the nighttime while you're in bed barking, is to put him in a crate. I had to do this with Millie. She would end up barking periodically through the night when she was free. I think every little noise scared her. Once we started putting her in the crate, she stopped. She was secure in her crate and did not feel so vunerable, I guess.
