If you can bring the puppy to the store it might actually be good for business! There are a couple of small businesses in my neighborhood where the owners bring their dogs in. I love it! It make the owners look so good & caring - I know I want to give them my busniess as a dog lover!!! Good luck with both new adventures!!!!
