Default comfort

It is fine to comfort..BUT how you do it is important. You can sit and watch TV..and they can be on your lap...if they jump and shake..talk normal to them the way you would if there was no noise..don't do anything any different then you would if there was no noise. I would never leave a scared dog alone..I just do not react..
The first time Emee heard a loud firework a few weeks ago..she looked at Kate first, got no reaction, so she looked at me...I just talked normal to her and took her outside to check it out..she barked a few times then lost interest. If she was really scared and shaking, I would just keep talking to her, sit and watch TV, play ball..etc...Now that I think about it, I am feeling not needed in my Yorkies lifes..poor me...LOL
