Oh poor baby - We are in the middle of a Firework INVASION in my area and they're popping all over the place.
A few years ago I took Chanel shook and was really scared too - So I took her outside when they had started early (Before the actual 4th when it isn't quite so crazy) and I made it a game for her.
I looked like a moron - but I clapped and oooowed and ahhhhh'd over them - and she has never shook since then. When they get BAD like tonight - I just hold her. She's my oldest and the bravest of my 2.... but they aren't bothering Cheri at all - WEIRD !!
I'd say hold her and talk to her and try to just ignore them ...Pat already said don't baby her and she's right - but THAT IS SO HARD TO DO ! The reason for that is they feed off us babying them and just feel more insecure....
hopefully she'll get used to the noises and stop shaking. I feel awful hearing that for her - They ARE scary... but hopefully you can calm her enough to where she can relax a little |
