Poor baby...fireworks are a favorite pastime here in Flroida for some reason. There is hardly a week that goes by and you do not hear them soemwhere in the neighborhood.
My girls do not react, they are asleep right now and the noise is awful.....my husband was telling me that when he was a cop in DC the horses and dogs were conditioned not to react to fireworks and other loud sounds. Many of the horses and dogs are donated as adults, so we they are not starting with young ones and many need to be retrained.
They advise a recording of the sounds your dogs is afraid of and play it daily ..I have done this with thunder when I bought older Yorkies that were scared to death of it. I played it everyday for about 30 mins..took about a week for them to stop reacting.
It is best not to react yourself or baby them...the Bull dog across the street is having a terrible time the owner told me...she is barking non-stop and drooling.
