The sperm will survive inside the female for 24+ hours, the theory on breeding every other day is to allow recovery time for the studs sperm count. So, your basically " covered" the days you don't breed with the surviving sperm from day before, then allowing the day recovery time in stud, increases count in semen increases your chances for sucess.
