Yes, before the wedding your engagment ring goes on the left hand, after marriage your wedding band goes on first then the engagment ring. The wedding band is to be closest to your heart. I read in this Dear Abby years ago. This, I guess works if you have both rings, if not you wear the one. Anyway, enjoy showing it off.
