I took buddy to the groomers right after we got him 8 weeks old, they said to have them trimmed every 3-4 weeks and the vet said same thing so we had the groomer do it that day. Seemed to help ALOT and didn't seem to squirm or appear in pain while doing it but I sure didn't wanna do it as I don't want to hurt him.
The vet also recommended taking him for short walks on the sidewalk, that it would naturally take the "bite" off the nail (so it wouldn't be as sharp), Buddy always heads for the grass tho or wants to be picked up after a short walk.
Neat thread tho I wondered what most folks do, im too chicken to do it myself and dont wanna hurt him but BOY were they SHARP at 8 weeks...
