It turns out that she scratched her eye.
The vet said it was a pretty big one. She put dye in it to see how much damage there was.
So, she has to wear an E-collar for at least a week, have one med put in 5-6 times a day and the antibiotic put in twice a day. The one med is to dialate her pupil which somehow is supposed to help prevent long term damage and it also helps with the pain.
I feel so bad for her. I hate those darn E-collars. They are so uncomfortable, but she can't rub her eye at all, so it has to stay on.
She doesn't even fit in her crate with the thing on, so I have a doggie play pen set up for her. I just hope it heals well and that there is no permanent damage.
