I know all of you have been patiently waiting for results from the Hutto, Texas show. We did not have access to a network in Hutto, so here are my results from the show. I will let the others who participated give you their opinions and thoughts and results so as to not take away from their thunder.
The morning of the first show, unfortunately, we were late because we were lost and there were no signs for those of us who don't come from the Hutto area. So the first show of the day for the Biewers, didn't go well for me in the puppy class (nine to 12 months). The judges were willing to assess Itzy, gave him a first-place ribbon, but he was excluded from best of breed because it had already been awarded to Ashanti (Nancy House).
Show number two in the afternoon, Itzy took first place and best-of-breed puppy and got a third in Toy Group.
Show three, Sunday morning the judge liked a bigger chested dog so Itzy did not get best-of-breed puppy or a chance to compete in rare breed puppy. Show three ran from 9 a.m. until almost 2:30 P.M. so show four was being doubled up and done into two different rings
Show four, Sunday afternoon, Itzy took first place, best-of-breed puppy, and got a first-place in the Toy group.
When it came to best puppy for the afternoon show, the judges appeared to like the much bigger breeds.
For the best of rare breed puppy, the Biewer contender had already left the premises for the day.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet other Biewer owners and I had a great time. I'm looking forward to the next show in Anaheim and having the opportunity to meet more Biewer owners as well as Manuela Glasser from Germany who will be honoring the IABCA with her presence.
pictures coming.
