I am no expert, but I think that you should feed them seperately so that you can observe their eating habits - not eating can be a sign of problems and you would want to be able to notice this. Is there a reason that you want them to eat out of the same bowl. Although, it may be cute, I would think that they would enjoy not being in each others face during the "chow-down".
