My pup played in my yard (even with our healthy neighbor dogs) from the time I got him at eight weeks.
When I say "healthy neighbor dogs" - I mean exactly that. I live in a condo association and six duplexes here share the same backyard - which is is about two football fields long. There are four little spoiled dogs who are routinely groomed, perfectly healthy, and totally up to date on all their shots, etc. And - they all spend hours playing together - daily - or should I say "more in the evening" now that it's so hot.
BUT - I didn't take my pup other places until he was older and through with all his shots.
