I think it all depends on the yorkie as to the frequency of the baths. My Hobbs has a really dry coat and dry skin. We only bathe him every 2-3 weeks because he doesn't look dirty until then. Also, if we bathe him too much his skin gets dry and flakey. My parents' yorkie, on the other hand, has a really oily skin and coat...if she doesn't get a bath once a week, then she looks NASTY! So, it all depends on the dog. There is not a set standard that you should give your yorkie a bath once a week. I would wait to give her a bath until she looks dirty and looks like she needs a bath.
