Biting is very bad to allow, if you allow it now, they will learn that it is an acceptable procedure. They like the salty taste of your hands and skin. Everytime they chew something they shouldn't, this includes your hands or toes, tell them no in a sharp vi=oice and give them something else to chew on, or put something like bitter apple, or I use hot sauce, on the item you don't want them to chew. Of course if you have a dog that ends up liking hot sauce, then try lemon juice. I have one yorkie that likes hot sauce, so I use the lemon juice for him. I coated my electric cords, and my computer cords with hot sauce to stop mine from chewing. |
